My career pathway got mixed around a bit when I went to JJ's, but I ended up finishing both Performing Arts and Business & Finance pathways. It doesn't matter much as I'm joining the Air Force and not attending College, but the credits are still good I suppose.
Job Shadow
My job shadow was with a person named Albert Cabrera, who is a jeweler that works at a local jewelry store here in Lindsay. I did My job shadow on March 1, 2016. I chose to job shadow him because we couldn't get a job shadow with an Air Force recruiter. It was still a fun experience and yet boring at the same time. The day of my job shadow when I got to the jewelry store Albert Cabrera the jeweler welcomed me. Once I got there I shook his hand and said my name and as well did he. I would help him out by talking to customers and doing business since I know how to do things. Also throughout the day while he was tending to customers I was there observing and asking him questions, he really motivated me and it inspired me to go in that field. He really inspired me by showing me how simple jewelry changed a person's appearance. Something I learned in this job was in order to have a great time and not have a boring job is, having a great time with the customers by messing around with them and just having a great bond with the customer. That being said the customers will feel comfortable and will like to return for more jewelry. Having a great time with the customers will get customers to recommend the jewelery store to all of their friends and family. I really got amazed by the work Jose Cabrera could do. This is because any customer that would walk in and ask him if he could size a ring or make a piece of jewelry a certain way, he would say yes I can. He satisfied every customer and made it look real easy. Although this job seems sounds, I don't think it would be an ideal career for me. But I could definitely see it as a backup job like something to fall back on.
